If you use Whale, either for creating and managing a poll, for voting, or just for getting results of a poll or general information about collective decision making and vote, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with Whale's privacy policy govern Whale's relationship with you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use Whale.

The term 'Whale' or 'us' or 'we' refers to the owner of the website, which is currently Sylvain Bouveret (the owner of the domain name noiraudes.net which is registered by Gandi). The term 'you' refers to the user or viewer of our website.

Privacy and data

In the following, 'private data' refers to the data entered by you in the following input boxes: (nick)name, email address. Any other data you may enter on the web site (such as votes, poll parameters) will be referred to as 'non-private data'.

• Private or non-private data are stored in our database without any limit in time.
• Private data is encrypted when it is stored and will not be provided intentionally to anyone (however, the website owner does not guarantee the total security of the data provided).
• Non-private data will be provided on the website, and accessible to anyone willing to use it in an academic context (e.g. to run some voting theoretic experiments).
• Every work based on the data provided on the Whale website must cite Whale in the appropriate place, and if possible give a link to the website.
